AP Capstone Leadership

Proposed by the principal, I volunteered to lead the initiative to establish the AP Capstone Program. In this role, I

• Designed a placement test
• Developed comprehensive syllabi for both Seminar and Research courses
• Taught the first cohort of students in both courses
• Achieved a 100% pass rate for all students
• Trained other teachers in the program
• Used experience and skills in another curricular innovation, the Problem Based Learning Course.

Presented the AP Capstone program to faculty and leadership; program was adopted in 2024..

• Developed comprehensive presentation materials for faculty
• Consulted with school leadership on program implementation
• Created detailed course syllabi for Seminar and Research
• Provided roadmap for successful program launch

Hired in part due to my expertise in the AP Capstone program.

• Taught the first Seminar class at the institution
• Led professional development trainings for faculty
• Facilitated curriculum discussions with department heads
• Developed assessment frameworks for program success
